How to get dark colour Mehndi
Tips to get
- Apply a tiny amount of cooking oil to u're palms before applying mehndi.
- Sugar and lemon juice, dab some on once u're mehndi is dry
- A small amount of clove oil
- Vicks or any menthol vapour-rub
- Always brush-off u're mehndi and try not to wet u're hands.
- After brush off use foundation on it.
- After brush use old raw mango pickel oil on the palm.
- Can also use ZanduBalm, vicks or any neelgiri oil.
- When making paste of Heena mix little amount of Petrol in it . it also gives dark colour.
- Always use to keep ur Mehndi aftermaking it paste in frige.

How to Apply Heena Design
Applying the Henna
- Wash the skin with soap and water. Apply some rubbing alcohol with a cotton ball if the skin is particularly oily.
- Position the tip of your plastic henna cone over the skin.
- Apply gentle pressure with your thumb to the top of the cone, just beneath the rubber band, to dispense the henna through the tip of the cone.
- If the henna does not dispense easily, you can clip the tip of the cone with fingernail clippers to enlarge the opening. Just remember to make very small cuts so that you don't overdo it.
- Create your design. You can create your own original design or look at books or online templates for inspiration.
- The hands and feet will stain darker than other parts of the body because the skin on the extremities is thicker.
- The neck and face do not tend to stain well because the skin there is naturally thin and oily.
- Allow the design to dry. The henna should not look wet or oily, but it shouldn't be so dry that it starts to crack.
- Spray the completed design with 1 light coat of Sugar and lemon This gel made at home .And can be apply by help of cotton,and let it dry.
- Allow it to dry. Let it to be dry normaly.
- Spray a second light coat of gel onto the henna. When the gel has dried,u can apply second coat of gel.
- Keep the design overnight or for at least 12 hours.
- Unwrap the design. Apply a coat of wax lip balm, coconut oil or olive oil to the design.
- Remove the excess dried henna flakes with a mild soap and water solution. Gently blot the stained design with a soft cloth so that you don't shorten the life of the design.

Medicinal Value of Mehndi
Mehndi/Heena as Medicine
Mehndi or Henna is greatly known for its medicinal values. Its
medicinal values have proved that it is used as a natural dye and a
cooling agent during summer season. Also mehndi holds a great
significance in Indian culture. Any special occasions like weddings or
festivals have this beautifully adorned Mehndi to enhance the importance
of the event.
Some medicinal values of mehndi are here :
- Mehndi's medicinal value can help in controlling hair loss. Put henna leaves in mustard oil and boil it for 10 minutes, apply it on your hair this will promote hair growth.
- Henna seeds are useful during dysentery. Powder these seeds and mix it with ghee, make small balls that of beetle nuts size and take it along with water.
- Mehndi's medicinal values have proved that the stem of the plant is good for treating jaundice and liver disorders. Make a decoction by boiling the scrape of the stem in water and drinking it for two times a day can treat these disorders.
- During sore throat henna leaves decoction is used for gargling.
- Mehndi's medicinal values are effective on treating prickly heat. Ground henna leaves with water and apply it on the affected areas. Leave it for 10 minutes and while you take bath wash it off in luke warm water.
- Henna leaves are used for treating skin disorders like boils and burns.
- Henna flower is used to treat headache. Make a plaster out of henna flower by mixing it with vinegar and apply it on your forehead.
Headache Remedy
In addition to the relaxing and cooling properties of the henna seeds, anise seeds are also a good antispasmodic.
1 tablespoon (15 gm) henna seeds, outer shells cracked and inner seeds ground
1 tablespoon (15 gm) black anise (Pimpinella anisum) seeds, crushed Boiled, cooled water or apple cider vinegar
1 gauze compress
1. Using a mortar and pestle, pound and grind together the henna and black anise seeds. Add just enough water or vinegar to make a paste.
2. Spread the paste onto a gauze compress. Apply the compress to the head, lay down to rest for 15 to 30 minutes.
Irritated skin balm
Lawsome may be the ingredient in henna that serves as an
antiseptic, bactericide, and fungicide. This remedy will not
stain the skin.
To increase hair growth and reduce hair loss.
2-3 tablespoon (10-15 gm) neutral, uncoloured henna powder
4-5 ounces (130 ml) apple cider vinegar, warmed
1. Mix henna powder with warm vinegar to form a paste.
Scalp Treatment2. Apply as a dressing directly to the affected area of skin.
To increase hair growth and reduce hair loss.
1 tablespon (15 ml) henna flower oil
1 tablespon (15 ml) jojoba extract
1 tablespon (15 ml) calendula infused oil
½ tablespoon (2.5 ml) carrot seed oil
2 drops essential oil of clove bud
4 drops of essential oil of rosemary
5 drops East Indian essential oil of patchouli
2 drops essential oil of cedarwood
1. In a 2-to-3-ounce (60-95 ml) opaque bottle, combine henna, jojoba, calendula, and carrot seed oils. Add essential oils and shake to mix. Label and date.
Nail- conditioning2. If desired, warm the bottle of oil in a warn water bath before using. Massage a few drops into scalp before bedtime. Apply two or three times a week.
Treatment Here's an easy, low-cost routine. Remove existing nail polish a day or two before the treatment. Remember to stir the paste each time.
½ cup (130 ml) boiled spring -or distilled water, cooled to warm
½ teaspoon (2.5 g) uncolored, neutral henna powder
1 teaspoon (5 ml) plain organic yogurt (optional)
2-3 drops eucalyptus oil (optional)
1. In a plastic or glass bowl, mix neutral henna and water to form a paste. Store leftover mixture in a sealed container in refrigerator for 2-3 days only.
2. Using a chopstick or flat-edged toothpick, globe the henna paste on each of your clean, dry nails and cuticles. Keep the paste for 10 minutes. If you have time, put both hands in a plastic bag and cover with a towel for as long as possible.
3. Rinse your fingers in lukewarm water and towel-dry. Gently buff the nails with a chamois nail buffer. Then coat your nails with deep, penetrating avocado, almond, or calendula oil.
